Account Management

Manage user accounts, access levels, and organization settings.

Account Types

There are two types of accounts in GetInvoice:

Users

  • Can login into the app
  • Can have different permission levels
  • Can be invited to join your organization

Sources

  • Only used for invoice extraction
  • Can be activated/deactivated
  • Can be hidden from dashboard

Source Types

Social Accounts

  • Google and Microsoft accounts
  • Can be used both as Users and Sources
  • Provides both login and invoice extraction capabilities

Credential Accounts

  • Email and password combination
  • Used only for logging into the platform
  • Cannot be used for invoice extraction

IMAP Accounts

  • Used exclusively for invoice extraction
  • Cannot be used for login
  • Ideal for email providers without OAuth support

User Permissions

User accounts have configurable permissions that can be managed by clicking on the account:

  • Dashboard Access: Active by default
  • Billing / Settings Access: Not active by default

Users with settings access cannot modify their own permissions or the root user's permissions.

Source Management

Source accounts have limited configuration options:

  • Extraction Status: Activate or deactivate invoice extraction
  • Dashboard Visibility: Option to hide account from the dashboard (does not affect extraction)

Adding New Accounts

  • New Sources: Click the + Add Source button in the Sources tab to add a new source account
  • New Users: Click the Invite Users button to send invitations to new users.

Removing Accounts

  • Remove Users: Click the 🗑️ icon next to the user account to remove it
  • Remove Sources: IMAP accounts can be removed by clicking the 🗑️ icon next to the source account. To remove social accounts from sources, you have to remove it from the user account.
